1. List 30 provinces participating in Vietnam: Lang Son, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Dak Lak, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, An Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau, Ha Tinh, Da Lat and Hoi An.

2. The activities in response to Earth Hour in the provinces of Vietnam

Information on Climate Change and the Earth Hour by WWF Vietnam Program offered through the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in the 30 provinces and cities involved were transferred to individual wards, communes and districts to households call lights in response to Earth Hour and implement green lifestyle.

30 provinces have plans to participate in off lights in areas such symbols City People's Committee, the large building and the central monuments, culture.

The youth volunteer program is a special feature of the program in Vietnam with the green activities such as camping, parades for the environment, the seminar conversation about climate change or volunteer activities clean environment ...

Below are details of the program in some provinces and cities

Hue city: Earth Hour Event organized with national standard
• On 26 / 3, over 500 youth union members will join the parade alongside walk with Panda. Parade will start at 7:30 am and go through the streets Le Duan - Door Stop - Road 23 / 8 - Cua Quang Duc - Le Duan – Nghinh Luong Dinh.

• Citadel, Truong Tien Bridge, will be the main icon lights for EH.

Hanoi:
• Night exchanges with students of University of Culture about Climate Change and Environment by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in collaboration with Hanoi University of Culture and Union institutions.
• The lighting equipment will be turned off in the capital as the symbol of the city such as People's Committee office, Ngoc Son Temple, Turtle Tower, The Huc Bridge, Opera House, Trang Tien Plaza, decorative lights around the West Lake, Lake Truc Bach, the billboards on major streets.
• In The Garden, a photography exhibition about the impact of climate change and the beautiful moments of Earth Hour 2009 and 2010 in Vietnam will be on display from 25 / 3 to 3 / 4.

Ho Chi Minh City:

Youth group volunteer G60 + is fully operational for EH with many activities to raise public awareness about climate change include: bicycling advocacy every day from day 12 / 3 to 25 / 3; implementation Program Neighborhood accompany Earth Hour in which volunteers provide information about the EH to individual households in 03 neighborhoods, the program" Green Journey "at the University. G60 + has attracted more than 1,500 young people participate as volunteers.

Khanh Hoa - Nha Trang:

• In Nha Trang city, the morning will have a bike parade and clean up the beach.
• Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee organized a night of music exchange in response to Earth Hour in the Square 2 / 4 with the participation of many famous singers like Ho Ngoc Ha, Uyen Linh, Siu Black, Phuong Thanh, Le Hieu, Anh Khoa, etc. The program is expected to more than 5,000 participants.

Dak Lak
• Communication and Introduction to the Framework Convention of the United Nations on Climate Change, Kyoto Protocol, its causes and effects of environmental pollution and climate change to economic development, social and people’s health.

• Organization candlelight playing at House of Culture in Dak Lak province, 6th Cross, Square 10 / 3 Buon Ma Thuot in the evening of 26/03/2011.

• Maintenance activities in response to Earth Hour Week 2011 National Water Supply and Sanitation, World Environment Day, Biodiversity Day  of the World 22 / 5 and Campaign Making the world cleaner.

Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan
